What CouldBe Can Be!
Caden Trang (b. 2001), aka Couldbecaden, is a digital creator and artist with 100K+ followers across social media platforms. He is primarily known for his performative videos and immersive photo edits of himself in costume as different characters from popular culture. In addition, he is also well-practiced in drawing, painting, collage, and other interdisciplinary practices that he utilizes to create more refined philosophical artworks.
As a digital creator, Caden aims to share his passion for the various worlds and characters that he inhabits through his cosplays and inspire people to believe in themselves and their creative passions.
As an artist, Caden aims to generate more critical discussion about the intersectionality of identity. In turn, he takes inspiration from his own identity as a genderfluid Vietnamese American with OCD. Caden hopes his pieces can generate better understanding and empathy for our differences as human beings.
The Cycle Of Inspiration
A Special Message From Caden
My main goal is to contribute to what I call "the cycle of inspiration". This cycle is described best as when an artist or creator inspires their audience to pursue their own artistic passions and hopefully, one day go on to inspire others as well. I believe that many young artists are too hard on themselves or aren't shown enough support, and I want to grow my audience as much as possible to reach more people and provide a community that promotes compassion, open-mindedness, and staying true to one's passion as an artist.

My art practice started with drawing, and then as I studied interdisciplinary visual arts and art history at the University of Washington, it began to evolve more towards contemporary art practices. My approaches now consist of a combination of photography, collage, sculpture, and installation.
